Victoria International Container Terminal Operations Suspended Immediately
Stockwell International has been advised by Victoria International Container Terminal has suspended operations due to a positive COVID-19 case yesterday.
The announcement from VICT said “This stoppage is necessary in order to protect our employees and the public while we work with the Victorian Department of Human Health (DHHS) and Worksafe on contact tracing.”
“We can confirm that we will not reopen today 23/08 or tonight and tomorrow day shift looks highly unlikely at this point.
Extensions to import free time and storage paid through dates will be applied to all imports onsite in line with the period that we remain closed prior to resuming operations.
No LIST or NO SHOW Fees will be charged over the closure period
Export cut off’s will be adjusted to suit revised vessel arrival times once those are locked in”.

Melbourne Public Holiday
Stockwell International would like to remind customers that Friday the 24th of September is a public holiday for Victoria for the AFL Grand Final.
There will be minimal disruptions and business as normal will commence Monday 27th September.
