Southern China Port Congestion Passes Critical  Congestion levels at the Shenzhen Ports of Shekou and Yantian have reached critical stage.

As many of you are aware the situation in Shenzhen continues to deteriorate across ports in the entire area.

Yantian port shut down for 5 days due to a COVID-19 outbreak – causing a massive backlog that also continues to worsen as the port is currently only working at 50% with high yard density of 90% due to the COVID-19 restrictions the Government has put in place, now many vessels are omitting Yantian and Shekou to minimise congestion and vessel idle time.

Please keep in mind this congestion will cause delays across all South China Ports including Nansha, Hong Kong, Foshan, Yantian and Shekou. Stockwells will continue to update customers when information becomes available.
