Meet Dom, our go-getter Inside Sales Representative located at our Gold Coast office.
Dom has been an integral part of our Stockwells team for the past two years. Coming from her previous marketing role, she is now the direct point of contact for current clients, responsible for developing those relationships and providing quotes, particularly for high profile clients.
Though she has recently become the Inside Sales Rep at Stockwells, having been in the role for just a few months, Dom has already found added fulfilment in her new responsibilities.
“I’m definitely loving the fact that I’m able to communicate with clients on a daily basis, whereas in my previous role, I wasn’t as involved with clients. So, being able to win jobs and have the satisfaction of good rapport with clients has definitely been the most fulfilling part of my new role so far.”
Though Dom is taking on her new role and responsibilities with ease, she continues to mentor and work alongside our new Communications, Media & Marketing Coordinator, Maddy.
With so much going on in the freight industry, like ongoing congestions, delays, equipment issues and of course COVID, Dom is helping to ensure Maddy is comfortable navigating this ever-changing industry. And while there is a lot to learn, there is no better mentor than Dom.
Dom started at Stockwells at the beginning of the COVID outbreak and has been navigating one of the hardest-hit industries ever since.
“I’ve never really experienced the industry before COVID, or the way everyone says it used to be, so I’m very experienced in the new landscape of high demand for goods, managing congestion and delays and relaying this important information to the team and clients.”
Evidently, Dom is very well-qualified to advise on the many challenges facing the freight industry, clients and those working within it. Skills and knowledge she has learnt, having been mentored by our Director of Sales and Marketing, Angela Gambell for years, even prior to working with us at Stockwells.
After witnessing Dom’s exceptional work ethic in previous roles, Angela headhunted her and took her under her wing to unleash her potential within the freight industry. Since then, Dom’s personal and professional values have consistently proven to align with those of our Australian, family-owned company, and we can’t wait to witness her continue to grow in her career at Stockwell International.
